Tax Manager CAD
In this client facing leadership role youwill work closely with the other members of the tax group and themanagement team to implement tax and business planning strategiesfor new and existingclients.
Yourprimary responsibilities willinclude :
- Preparing taxtechnical research tax correspondence andmemos
- Reviewing complex tax complianceincluding tax returns and electionforms
- Providing support for team members on taxrelated matters for all clients
- Supporting thedevelopment and coaching of other professionals and juniormembers
- Working with other team members toreview potential planning opportunities and to generate additionalbusiness for the firm from existingclients
RequiredExperience Qualifications andCharacteristics :
- DesignatedCPA
- Currently enrolled in or has completed theCPA Canada Indepth Tax Course
- 4 years of publicpractice experience with a minimum of 2 in Canadian private companytax
- Strong tax compliance background with anunderstanding of the issues and challenges faced by smalltomediumsized businesses
- Experience with taxreorganizations and transactions
- Independenthighly motivated and a selfstarter
- Multitaskerand can manage multiple clientssimultaneously
- Excellent communication skills(both written and verbal) and commitment to maintaining an opentransparent dialogue with colleagues andclients
