Senior Cloud Administrator Specialist – Emerald Associates

Emerald Associates is a leading Project Management Cloud solution provider. For over 24 years we have helped our clients revolutionize project delivery with technology and digital solutions centered around a best‑of‑breed toolkit including Oracle Primavera and Safran Software solutions. Our clients span construction, engineering, oil and gas, facilities management and mining industries worldwide.

We are actively looking for a Senior IT Technology Specialist to lead successful deployments and management for our global clients.

The team consists of IT technologists using virtualization, database and networking solutions optimized for 24

7 up‑time as we are mission critical to many international project sites. This position requires a leader who is able to plan, execute, streamline, document and communicate flexibly in today's fast‑paced customer centric cloud based world.

Emerald's team is headquartered in Calgary, Canada, with remote team members in the USA, Brazil, Philippines, Belarus and Turkey.

What You’ll Do

Implement on-prem, cloud and hybrid project management solutions

Proactively monitor running solutions and intervene prior to outages

Implement leading edge and cost effective solutions

Contribute new ideas to drive continuous improvement in the future of cloud and AI

Setup and integrate multiple systems using Web services, APIs and micro services

Setup HA and DR solutions that are local, regional or global in scale

Design solutions that integrate into a client’s hybrid environments

Support internal and external clients to ensure uptime

Requirements

Senior Linux Administration

Automation Expertise with : Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, puppet, chef, saltstack

Virtualization : OVM, Citrix XEN, VMWARE, KVM, Hyper-V

Cloud Computing Experience (OCI, Azure, AWS, Google, OVH)

Database Knowledge : Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL

Networking VLANs

Application Servers : Weblogic, Tomcat, JBoss

Knowledge of Java

Systems Administration Best practices

Proven Design and Innovation

Excellent collaborating team building and communication skills

Excellent written and spoken English
