TheSenior Director of Commercial Salesis a key contributor to the overall success of this willprovidestrong leadership strategic insight businessplanningand development for the customersrepresenta range ofindustrieseach with their own set of challenges and individual leading the division will need to invest in gaining an understanding of the nuances of each of these industry verticals with a view to creating lasting partnerships that are commerciallyviable.

Responsibilities

Business Strategy : Develop a business and operational plan which reflects a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape customer expectations and the need to achieve financial Director of Commercial Salesis the ultimate authority on B2C customers and needs to understand them as well (if not better) than they understand will need to create and drive the customer strategy across the country using a partnership model. Customer-centricity is important but cannot be at the expense of profit and accountability.

Leadership : The individual will be managing a large and geographically dispersed team. He / she will need to assess the capability of the team create a vision for the Division share and drive thebehaviorsthat will ultimately create success for member of the team needs to understand expectations and deliver against those right candidatewill be givenan opportunity to build a highly productive work environment that creates employee engagement and pride.

Diversification : The opportunity for product and customer diversification is organization has not nearly exploited its capability to provide much more to its customers than it is known for nor capable the company hasa strong reputationand a significant share of certain markets there is significant upside potential for the Division. A creativeambitiousand lateral-thinking individual can create tremendous value for this business.

Organizational Structure : TheSenior Director of Commercial Saleswill report directly to the President (of all business divisions). The individual will have P & L responsibility for the performance of his / her business unit and willoperatewitha high levelof totheSenior Director of Commercial Salesare leaders in each major market as well as individuals providing operational and customer staff count is approximately 50 employees.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education in Business or Marketing with minimum 5 years of successful B2B sales team management.
  • Experience as a sales leader for a supplier distributor or dealer working within the builder / developer construction industry is favorable
  • Creative sales leader with an ability to think outside the box identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Skills demonstrating a clear understanding of true salesmanship and customer service with success in creating long term partnerships at both the executive and project management levels.
  • Proven experience and knowledge of Regional Management with the ability to create and execute growth strategies within assigned region to deliver against sales targets.
  • Outstanding organizational leadership coaching and time management skills.
  • P&L experience at the sales margin and operations level.
  • Having a growth mindset and sense of accountability are an absolute must.
  • Problem solver with the ability to get things done within the confines of company process and expectations
