Description de posteSupport the daily care of dogs at Safe Haven, including feeding, cleaning and disinfecting kennels. Complete general shelter tasks related to the dogs (laundry, washing crates). Assist with enrichment and walking the dogs in care. Attend shifts as scheduled and work with the team to ensure dogs receive proper care and attention. Shifts run three times daily at 8 : 00 a.m., 12 : 00 p.m., and 7 : 00 p.m., 7 days a week, 365 days a year (approximately 2 hours per shift). Training consists of three parts : an online training module, an in-person group training session, and a hands-on training shift with a Shift Lead. Dog caregiving provides an opportunity to advance dog handling skills through Basic Dog Handling and Advanced Dog Handling courses. Whether you meet these requirements or not, you are encouraged to share your interest in us; you may still be a fit for a different opportunity.
