The Merchandiser is called upon to provide support to regional sales teams in order to increase the presence of Sleeman Breweries.

Responsibilities Perform merchandising operations, placing products on shelves in non-refrigerated sections, refrigerators, cold rooms, sales floor displays and displays.

Rotate products and check freshness codes. Set up point-of-sale (POS) materials to support promotions or product launches, ensuring that promotional and POS materials are visible and accessible.

Assist the Regional Sales team in achieving sales targets by ensuring that fulfillment requirements negotiated by the Sales Representative or Major Account teams are met in store.

Provide support to Sales Representatives to free up more space and improve product visibility and accessibility by benchmarking sales or execution against the knowledge of other stores in the region, pointing customers to best practices, ensuring first-rate execution and implementing other techniques.

Establish good working relationships with customers and follow up regularly to ensure their continued satisfaction with products and services.

Provide back-up support to Sales Representatives (e.g., sales, negotiation), in their absence or at the request of the Manager.

Participate in team meetings and share customer feedback, potential business opportunities and detailed local business information as required.

Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in the competitive environment. Communicate with key store contacts. Perform other related duties.

Requirements Degree in administration, sales or related field. Strong customer service skills and experience of at least one year in a retail environment.

Good ability to establish strong professional links, both internally and externally. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in French and English (asset);

excellent presentation skills. Computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office. Experience in the alcoholic beverage industry (asset).

Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
