Learning & Development Program Lead

Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, the

• Learning & Development (L&D) Program Lead
• plays a key role inleading the assessment and design of AESO’s Internal and External Training Programs. This role works collaboratively to support the Transformation Management Office and Market Participant Readiness to ensure the program meets the learning needs of current and prospective Market Participants in Alberta’s electricity industry. We support a hybrid work environment, where the team is in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays are flexible for where you work best. Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to strengthen SME and trainer capabilities and develop high-quality training materials. A combination of these experiences and qualities will support your success in this role : 10 or more years in corporate learning and development OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience designing and executing strategic, complex learning program plans. Solid knowledge of adult learning principles, program planning, and instructional design methodologies. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply creative problem-solving approaches. Ability to perform effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and drive projects to completion. Hands-on experience with the Articulate 360 software suite. Experience using Adobe Creative products or comparable design tools.
