Description : Thompson Construction Group has an immediate opening for a Site Survey Supervisor for site work in the Fort McMurray area.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for supervising field survey crew
- Communicate with Project Management to coordinate and oversee field survey work being performed, managing timeline requirements and priorities to support earthworks construction
- Ensure understanding of all pay items in the contract for month end volume pick up and calculations
- Calculate quantities using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Manage and organize survey data for multiple projects
- Responsible for proper handling and maintenance of all survey equipment
Qualifications :
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in a Construction Survey Supervisor role
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software
- Previous experience with Topcon GPS and Machine Control
- Ability to Troubleshoot GPS equipment and Machine Control
- Previous experience creating DTM model and line work for stakeout
- Superior understanding of different file formats for importing and exporting data into data collector
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work in the Ft McMurray area and live in remote camps, working a rotational schedule
- CSTS / OSSA or BSO Certification
- Ground Disturbance, H2S Alive and First Aid is considered an asset
- Must be able to pass a pre-access drug and alcohol test
