Job Description

Develop and design of new and / or improve existing Operational processes which includes On-road,

Sortation and Transportation processes, as well as supporting business tools (i.e. training, instructions,

signage, forms, etc.) leveraging continuous improvement tools and methodologies, such as, Lean / Six Sigma and PDCA, to meet Health and Safety, Quality of service, Productivity and Costs objectives.

Duties :

  • Develop, implement, and manage multiple projects providing realistic and accurate timelines, resource requirements and activity plans.
  • Manage the collection and compilation of internal and external data and information to assess and analyze the impact on the objectives of the project.
  • Support testing and implementation of new technologies, methodologies, and procedures using a User Acceptance Testing methodology.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Lead and participate in stakeholder interviews, identify information / data and detailed process analysis to understand current as is process state.
  • Develop project plans including project charters, timelines, work breakdown structures and tracking logs to fulfill project management processes.
  • Perform Logical Data mapping of critical Operations data transactions through SIPOC methodology and linking to related processes.
  • Develop Key Process Indicators (KPI) for critical processes and establish the reporting mechanism.
  • Establish data owners and users of the report. Develop control plans to address out of control situation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other functional streams to enable the realization of fully integrated solutions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Degree in Business Management / Industrial Engineering / BS degree in Engineering or Operations Research or equivalent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management skills Required-PMP designation preferred but not required.
  • Six Sigma tools and techniques
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to develop and present business cases to senior management.
  • Ability to establish work goals, objectives and standards to be achieved by subordinates.
  • Ability to performance manage subordinates while keeping manager informed of performance discussions and results.
  • Minimum of 4-8 years of leadership experience in a high availability Supply Chain (Transportation / Network / logistic) environment
  • Experience in working in a complex cross functional environment.
  • Frequent interaction with senior management on projects and updates
  • Conveys information fluently, interpreting and clarifying details and explaining rationale.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Productivity and performance measures
  • Arranges training or assignments, give timely coaching, to foster learning and development.
  • Has managed resources, timelines, and budgets.
