We are presently looking for a full-time licensed Aircraft Maintenance Base Engineer to become a part of our team at our Vancouver, BC Base.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Maintenance, Base Engineers will oversee all maintenance operations at their base.
They will also liaise with the Quality Assistance Manager on matters related to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, including inspections, Aircraft Certification, and Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA).
Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise, direct, and coordinate the overall maintenance activities of the base as assigned in accordance with the company MCM.
Provide effective communication between departments to maintain the aircraft with a minimum of downtime.Apply and enforce the policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the Company Safety Program, iSMS, manufacturers instructions, and the Canadian Aviation RegulationsMonitor and control the effectiveness of labour.
Plan and schedule the workload on a daily basis to ensure that the required tasks are accomplished.Liaise with the Production Department to coordinate the work-scope for upcoming maintenance tasks.
Ensure the hanger work area is maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.Establish, maintain, and enforce paperwork standards for maintenance personnel, in coordination with the Quality Assurance Manager.
Job RequirementsTransport Canada Certified AME License M2Minimum of 7 years working on aeroplanes in a commercial environmentAbility to legally work in Canada.
Must be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)Ability to legally work in Canada.Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Good communication and interpersonal skillsAble to perform well under pressure, comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
