Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join their team! The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of progressive experience in Professional Lines underwriting.
Location : Remote in BC
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to :
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for Professional Liability & Management Liability accounts
- Develop and underwrite a robust pipeline of new business opportunities
- Evaluate and determine appropriate underwriting decisions, including policy terms, conditions, and pricing
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to inform underwriting strategies and decision
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance market presence and build professional relationships
Requirements :
- 3+ years of progressive experience in Professional Lines underwriting
- Prior working experience with MGA is preferred
- Level 1 General Insurance license
- A (CIP) or equivalent or working towards a designation is preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong underwriting acumen, effective communication, and negotiation skills
