Stuart Olson is currently seeking a Document Controller, Turnaround for our client site in Cold Lake, AB for a May 13, 2024 start date.

Working a pre-turnaround schedule of 4 on, 3 off, 10 hours / day followed by turnaround schedule of 6 on, 1 off, 12 hours / day A daily LOA provided to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains document registries.
  • Receives, stamps, dates, and logs drawings and distributes them to appropriate Stuart Olson personnel.
  • Creates and sends transmittals to clients and subcontractors.
  • Ensures all superseded drawings and documents are removed from service.
  • Assists in the maintenance of as-built drawings.
  • Supports the construction and quality teams with document requests.
  • Assists in the creation, organization and filing of turnover documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 1-2 years’ experience working with document management software and having completed as-built drawings in Bluebeam or Adobe Pro
  • Valid drivers license with clean driver’s abstract
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Internet
  • Highest standard of professional ethics, confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks independently with strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
  • Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective prioritization and follow up
  • Self-motivated, action oriented and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently on routine tasks with a positive attitude and exceptional customer service

Working Conditions

  • Working both indoors and outdoors in hot weather conditions
  • Working in and around noise and dust
  • Camp is not provided
  • Travel is not provided
  • Must be clean shaven
  • Coveralls, safety glasses / goggles, hard hat and gloves are provided
  • CSA approved steel-toed safety boots will be required

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Climbing stairs / ladders regularly
  • Ability to lift loads up to 25kg
  • Climbing stairs / ladders regularly
  • Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
