Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer and Tier One supplier for theautomotive industry, requires a good 442a Electrician to join their dynamic andsuccessful team.

Responsibilities :

Performmechanical and electrical troubleshooting on production equipment throughoutthe plant with the goal of keeping equipment operational to maintain productionof quality parts to specifications and within a reasonable time when problemsoccur due to mechanical or electrical failures.

Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot, diagnose equipment failures, and identify root cause for electrical equipment throughout plant, using both hardware and software
• Read and understand electrical schematics and effectively troubleshoot electrical controls
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment
• Install control and distribution of devices such as switches, relays and distribution panels
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures and techniques
• Must be able to troubleshoot and program PLC Logic

Qualifications :

• Must have 442a Electrician License
• Experience as an Industrial Electrician and / or Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing
• Automotive manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Should be familiar with electrical codes & procedures
• Must be self -starter who shows the ability to find work when it is not directly pointed out
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems or has mechanical aptitude, hydraulics, pneumatics, robots, hydraulic presses and mechanical presses
