Electrical Design Engineer

Staffinity is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineerfor a client located in the Windsor area. This is a permanent position withhourly rate, bonus, benefits, and RRSP matching.

Hours worked over 44 per weekwill be time and a half. The hourly rate is $30-42 / hr. DOE. There will be regularlocal travel and 1 week away roughly every 6 months.

The ideal candidate willhave experience with facilities design.

Responsibilities :

• Design andDevelopment of schematics.
• Facilities design including lighting layouts, SLD, power distribution,load calculations, and panel schedules.
• Contribute to the improvement of existing products by providinginsightful modifications and updates, thereby ensuring our offerings remain atthe forefront of technology.
• Create comprehensive technical specifications, conduct thoroughanalysis, and define rigorous testing requirements that underpin the designprocess.
• Offer hands-on support during the build process, ensuring that yourdesigns are translated into functional equipment accurately.
• System Integration and Testing
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technologist diploma.
• 3 years+ experience of electrical design experience.
• Strong knowledge of ESA, CSA, and other industry standards
• Experience performing fieldwork with minimum supervision.
• Experience working with an Engineering Consulting firm stronglypreferred.
• Instrumentation and control experience considered an asset.
• Strong experience in 2D and 3D AutoCAD is a must.
• Proficiency in Revit required.
• Experience in BIM 360 and Inventor.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Software.
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.
• Highly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Must have superior time management skills and the ability to multi-taskwith multiple projects.
• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.
• Must be eligible to obtain a work permit in the United States.
• Be willing and able to cross the border, for required support of US customers.
