Jump Recruitment Specialists have partnered with North Sun Energy in their search for a full-time permanent, Director of Foodservice & Convenience in St. John's, NL or Halifax, NS.

WHO THEY ARE :

North Sun Energy is a strategic partnership between North Atlantic and Suncor for the operation and growth of the retail networks in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island (PEI), and Newfoundland and Labrador through the North Atlantic and Petro-Canada brands.

THE ROLE :

As the Director of Foodservice and Convenience, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of foodservice operations and convenience offerings within our organization.

You will play a pivotal role in developing strategies to enhance our proprietary and franchised quick service restaurant food and beverage offerings, optimize convenience services, and drive revenue growth.

This position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the foodservice and convenience industries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Strategic Planning Developing and implementing strategic plans, analyzing market trends and customer preferences and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives
  • Menu Development and Product Innovation Leading menu development, enhancing existing products, working closely with foodservice providers and driving product innovation initiatives
  • Operations Management Overseeing quick service restaurant operations, all aspects of proprietary food service operations, the Marketing Mix and 4P’s (Product, Price, Placement and Promotions), managing relationships and best practices
  • Financial Performance Developing and managing budgets, monitoring key performance indicators (KPI’s) and identifying opportunities for costs savings and revenue enhancement
  • Customer Experience and Satisfaction : champion a customer-centric approach, gather feedback from customers and implement initiatives to enhance overall customer experience
  • Leadership and Team Development : provide strong leadership, recruit, train and develop talent and set clear goals and expectations for the team

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, commerce, marketing, or engineering. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a in a senior leadership role within the foodservice or convenience industry.
  • Strong understanding of foodservice and convenience trends, consumer preferences, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth, optimizing operations, and achieving financial targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Solid understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through change and innovation.
  • The ability to present ideas, deliver presentations and build positive relationships throughout all levels of the organization.

TRAVEL :

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility in schedule is required, with the ability to travel within the Atlantic region as necessary.
  • 50% travel throughout your territory is required.
  • Company vehicle will be provided.
