Metajive is seeking a talented and experienced Senior level Front End Web Developer to join our team on a contract or freelance basis.
This role will be fully remote and based in Canada. The ideal candidate is a skilled problem-solver with a passion for crafting exceptional digital experiences.
You will collaborate with our design and development team to build innovative and high-performing websites and web applications.
Must have at least one year hands-on experience with Sanity.io headless CMS.

Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain complex web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue & Nuxt).
- Collaborate with designers and other developers to translate designs into functional, high-quality code
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Optimize website performance and user experience
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web development technologies and trends
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with tech leads, producers, and clients to ensure project success
Qualifications :
- 6+ years of professional front-end web development experience
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver pixel-perfect designs
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Expert-level knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks : React, Next.js, Vue & Nuxt
- CMS systems (WordPress, Statamic, Sanity, Contentful and others)
- SaSS, WebGL, GSAP, GraphQL
- Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Proficiency in version control systems (Git)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Strong understanding of visual concepts
- Experience with crafting animation-driven web experiences
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with Shopify and / or backend development (Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails) is a plus
