Part-Time (hourly)

TELUS Health Children's Support offers programs designed to help children reach their full potential. Our multidisciplinary teams offer a range of support including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or behavioural therapy.

The Instructor Therapist provides individualized support tailored to the specific needs of each child.

Responsibilities :

Independently conduct 1 : 1 Behavior Therapy shifts using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis

Attend and participate in supervision sessions to review child progress and BT work performance with the Treatment Supervisor

Collect and record data accurately and efficiently in accordance with policies established by BTS of the province and in compliance with all Governing bodies

Communicate clearly and effectively to parents / caregivers

Qualifications :

Post-secondary education in Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) or Behavioural Science

Experience working with children or teens

Comprehensive knowledge of ABA principles, practices, and procedures

Sound clinical and professional judgement consistent with accepted models of practice, with demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize workload and adapt to a changing caseload

Previous in-clinic experience working with a pediatric population is preferred

Available 2 to 3 days / week including Saturdays
