Your Opportunity
As a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), you will serve as a front‑line healthcare provider in EHS Operations across the Edmonton area. You may work several shift patterns and be deployed in a variety of roles such as front‑line ambulance work.
Role Overview
You will assess emergency scenes and patients, transport ill or injured patients from scenes and between facilities, operate ambulances or other modes of transportation, administer minor medications, provide basic life support (BLS) airway adjuncts, and perform semi‑automated defibrillation. You may lead the BLS crew in delivering clinical care during patient transport or at emergency scenes.
Environmental and physical demands include exposure to all weather conditions, remote locations, hazardous and graphic scenes, bodily fluids, and frequent lifting (up to 105 lbs) and kneeling. You must endure frequent, simultaneous kneeling and trunk flexion, stand and sit for extended periods, and perform side‑carry with up to 20 lbs per hand.
