Job Description

Our client, a leading provider of wood and building materials, is expanding, and opening a new store in Kingston. They are seeking motivated and knowledgeable Sales Representatives to join their growing team.

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing fast, friendly, and expert service to our customers. Reporting to the Store Manager, your key duties will include :

  • Building strong relationships with contractors and other clients to drive recurring business
  • Delivering excellent customer service, from greeting and qualifying customers to recommending products and closing sales
  • Offering expert advice on a wide range of wood products to help customers find the perfect solutions
  • Handling sales desk duties, including answering phone and email inquiries, processing orders, and coordinating logistics
  • Maintaining a neat and organized store environment
  • Other tasks as required

  • Exceptional people skills communicate clearly, build trust, take responsibility
  • Professional demeanour and presence that commands respect and confidence
  • Positive, proactive attitude that drives you to take initiative and maintain an optimistic outlook
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to use Windows and Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook
  • Ability to speak French is considered an asset
  • Industry knowledge and previous sales experience are considered assets
  • High school diploma essential; College diploma / university degree is considered an asset

The ideal candidate will have great industry knowledge and be able to "hit the ground running" on the sales floor. To get you up to speed quickly, 1-2 months of comprehensive training will be provided at their head office and retail location in Manotick, Ontario.
