About the role
The Principal Network Solutions Architect role’s are to design, integrate and maintain the global Future Electronics WAN / LAN networks, enabling communication and data transfer within the organization.
His / her responsibilities include building, installing, configuring and operationalizing network equipment (such as routers, switches, firewalls etc.
improving the network performance, troubleshooting complex issues, collaborating with other IT professionals to enhance network security and maintaining equipment.
The candidate must keep up to date with the latest network trends, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and have a deep understanding of network principles and technologies.
The individual will have a functional role in mentoring other team members.
What you’ll be working on
- Design and build redundant computer network solutions to support the interconnectivity of our global WAN / LAN and cloud.
- Install, configure and operationalize network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN and other physical equipment).
- Continuously improve and simplify the network operation and the delivery of new services.
- Actively participate in implementing DevSecOps practices.
- Perform network maintenance and firmware upgrades.
- Design and implement network Disaster Recovery procedure to mitigate any network downtime.
- Provide L3 technical support to L2 Operation Support group.
- Investigate and analyze network security incidents to determine root cause and impact.
- Assist and collaborate with the Information Security Group on the Network Threats and Vulnerabilities Assessments and Remediation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network security solutions and technologies.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging network security threats to proactively address potential risks.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences
- 7+ years Hands-on experience in a large production network environment
- 3+ years of experience with Private Cloud network management.
- Strong knowledge of Cloud Security architecture, design principles and tools
- Strong knowledge of networking (BGP, SPB, MPLS, VPN, SD-WAN, firewall etc.)
- Good knowledge of Active Directory.
