Raise has partnered with Enbridge / Dominion Energy to support them in their hiring a team to support the integration of their Customer Care processes due to the recent utilities acquisitions that have been made within the United States (Ohio and Utah).
As the Business Data Specialist you will serve as a representative for Customer Care Operations (CC Ops) by collaborating with the Enterprise (TIS) team.
Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and documenting data sets, analyzing gaps, and determining strategies for data cleansing.
This role supports the Customer integration track for the three U.S. utilities under the USUI program.
Specific Accountabilities :
- Analysing, and documenting data specifications for all systems
- Discerning data accuracies in large sets of data of diverse formats
- Understanding software development and web technologies and having proficiency in SQL and other data programming languages.
- Independently writing scripts to perform data quality checks, clean and merge data, produce tables of descriptive statistics, generate visualizations, and conduct analyses to ensure accuracy of data
- Establish strong relationships and maintain effective communication with Enbridge stakeholders and Customer Care teams
- Develop and send communication to stakeholders informing them of progress and completeness of data migration
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, stepping in where needed to clarify, communicate, and provide support
- Take ownership of assigned duties and successfully execute on all tasks while managing multiple demands simultaneously
- Apply problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills in order to facilitate end to end requirements gathering
Scope of Work :
- Accountable for the accuracy of the data migration
- Align with IT and business to ensure successful integration with minimal impact to custom
- Operates in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders spanning across Customer Care Ops, TIS and the Enterprise.
- Manage data requirements for multiple systems
- This role will play a critical role in ensuring Customer Care Ops meets the utility integration goals while ensuring the continued delivery of safe, reliable, and cost-effective energy to our customers.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- University graduate or combination of formal education and 3-5 years of work experience analyzing large data sets
- Knowledge of technology implementation requirements and methodologies
- CBAP Certification or other formally recognized education in the field of business analysis preferred
- Understanding of Customer Care Operations and the needs of the business preferred
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and deliver results
- Excellent interpersonal skills including building consensus, negotiation, and facilitation
- Demonstrated ability to manage / analyse large volumes of data to provide insight. Must be numerically oriented with ability to critically think through issues using data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, i.e. EXCEL, WORD, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI
- Skilled in Data Analytics suite (Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Oracle, Microsoft)
- Ability to read / write in both SQL, Python, Tableau
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
Working Conditions
- Position works in typical office environment.
- Requires minimal travel to other Enbridge offices across Canada and the USA.
