PARC Retirement Living is an award-winning developer and operator of independent senior-living communities. We’re seeking a Receptionist for Cristalina PARC , our new community in Kelowna which will open its doors in spring-summer 2024.

As Receptionist, you are the communication hub of the community and on the frontline of communicating our values to residents and families. This means :

  • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere by greeting residents and visitors.
  • Performing a variety of administrative and support services in a professional, courteous, efficient and organized manner.
  • Answering phone calls and responding to requests from residents and visitors along with other reception duties such as answering resident inquiries, receiving deliveries and organizing service requests.
  • Managing the residence driver’s schedule and handling any booking conflicts.
  • Scanning payable invoices and submitting them to appropriate managers for approval.
  • Responding to emergency calls and assisting with security issues.
  • Assisting with recreation programs and events.
  • Supporting Food Service, Housekeeping and other departments as requested.

It takes a special kind of person to work here does this sound like you?

  • You are an upbeat and engaged team member who brings positive energy to all that you do.
  • You have a Grade 12 education or equivalent, and at least two years of reception experience in a similar environment, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • You’re consistently professional and courteous; able to interact tactfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • You handle high-stress situations calmly, and are comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have exceptionally strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher. Knowledge of other accounting, publishing and graphics software, such as Canva, would be an asset, too.
  • You have current First Aid and CPR certifications, along with WHMIS. FOODSAFE is an asset, as well.
  • You understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and the professionals engaged in their care.

At PARC Retirement Living we understand the importance of immunization to protect our residents, team members and visitors from COVID-19.

As such, a prerequisite of employment is that all new hires are fully vaccinated as approved by Health Canada. We also require a Criminal Record Check, and a TB test within the first month of employment.
