Raise is hiring a Microsoft Purview Information Protection Expert for Our Client a Canadian provincial crown corporation created and funded by the government of Alberta, responsible for promoting innovation in the province for Technology Futures, Health Solutions, Energy and Environment Solutions, and Bio Solutions.

Description
Expert to support the deployment of Data & Information Security Classification (DISC) using Microsoft Purview Information Protection technologies.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying Microsoft Purview Information Protection, as well as a strong background in implementing other Microsoft Purview solutions and capabilities
Accountabilities
- Configure Purview Information Protection environment
- Implement Sensitivity Labels for data classification
- Evaluate and validate requirements to ensure alignment with best practices and identify any gaps or oversights
- Support the IT project manager / Senior BA to close any requirements gaps
- Set up test environment in AI’s Development M365 tenant and configure labels in Microsoft Purview and classify data according to requirements
- Perform testing and troubleshooting to ensure the data is properly classified and protected and performing as expected
- Provide, as needed, UAT training sessions to show testers how to test
- Review and / or create test scripts and provide guidance on areas that may have been overlooked
- Ensure knowledge transfer to AI’s technical team
- Create a technical specification document that contains the overall design solution for implementing Sensitivity Labels.
- Provide support during various deployments
- Provide input and expertise into M365 roadmap
- Document data treatment and handling guides data classification schema table
- Technical specification document outlining the overall design solution
- Test plans and test scripts for UAT
- Training documentation for end-users
- Knowledge transfer documentation and training for AI's technical team
- Document deployment plans and deployment scripts (if applicable)
Required
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview Information Protection, with Hands-on experience in deploying sensitivity labels
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and Teams.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues, test configurations, and document outcomes
- Knowledge of the Government of Alberta’s DISC deployment or other government or agencies who have deployed sensitivity labels
- Experience with PowerShell scripting, Azure Active Directory
- Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and Microsoft Information Protection and Control (MIP)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
