Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Superintendent, you will be part of the Mill Maintenance Department. You will be responsible for leading and scheduling all process plant planning & reliability activities to support the achievement of production goals in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to execute an effective maintenance strategy;
- Operate in compliance with all applicable legal and engineering standards and specifications;
- Continuously monitor, develop and implement best and most effective practices to assure quality, safety and efficiency of procedures;
- Assess and evaluate company and contractor SOP’s with respect to efficiency and quality, as well as from a safety, health and environment perspective;
- Investigate and analyze equipment breakdown history / trends to resolve maintenance practice deficiencies and improve the quality of repairs;
- Support team in the achievement of annual targets through the effective use of resources.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and experience;
- 5+ years in planning and reliability management;
- 10+ years in large scale process plant maintenance;
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation is an asset;
- Exposure to project management techniques;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
