Randstad Canada is hiring for an Electrical Assembler in the Perth / Ottawa area for one of our leading clients in the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing industry.
This position is intended to be an initial contract via Randstad Canada until the employee is able to converted to the client's team as an internal employee.
The location is on Industrial Road, Perth.
This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week with opportunity for overtime.
Starting wage is $20 / hr.

Responsibilities
Work from drawings, specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, and instructions.
Perform electrical and mechanical assembly.
Determine wiring sequence, layout, and location.
Test to verify work.
Adhere to CSA, UL, CEC codes, and company quality requirements.
Provide input for work area improvements.
Support and participate in corporate initiatives, including meetings, safety programs, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality management.
Perform other related duties as required.
Comply with safety requirements and use personal protective equipment properly.
Operate equipment safely and competently.
Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent education
1+ year manufacturing / assembly experience
Two-year community college diploma or higher
Experience with milling and drilling equipment is an asset
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / continuous improvement principle
