Our brand-new rotational program consists of four back-to-back rotations in different asset classes over the first two years of your career at OTPP.

This rotational program provides the opportunity to experience different asset classes and discover your strengths. At the end of the program, the rotational analyst will be matched to a landing team where they will continue to grow their career and leverage their insights gained during the rotational program.

Opportunity to rotate within four asset classes in OTPP :

Private Capital - flexible pool of capital, which allows us to invest (i) directly in mature privatepanies with defendable market positions and predictable cashflows, and (ii) indirectly through private equity funds.

In our direct investments we focus on control positions and active, engaged approach to ownership. We have flexibility around our investment horizon

  • Teachers’ Venture Growth - We invest in high-growth, disruptive,panies (Series B onward) that are using technology to shape a better future.
  • Infrastructure and Natural Resources - Around the world, we invest in core infrastructure and natural resource assets to deliver steady inflation-linked cash flow.

We work closely with our partners to invest and deliver returns over the long term.

Private Credit - Our global, flexible credit solutions span the capital structure, built on strong partnerships and a long-term perspective.

We’re looking to significantly increase the active risk taking and scalability of the credit platform across various strategies and geographies.

Who you’ll work with

Private Capital

Private Capital at Ontario Teachers', Teachers’ is one of the world's largest, most sophisticated pools of private capital, actively seeking control opportunities to invest in maturepanies that are looking to grow.

You will be joining our London office where you will work directly supporting senior team members to evaluate and manage private equity investments.

The team has a global footprint, with investments in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa and Latin America, C$60 billion of assets under management and track record of top quartile returns.

We focus on a number of sectors, including Industrials & Business Services, Financial Services, Technology, Healthcare and Sustainable Energy Transition.

We are amitted partner to management teams, other investors and private owners and provide hands-on financial, strategic and operational support to thepanies we invest in, allowing them to create long-term value.

Private Capital team is part of the Equities department, which alsoprises : the Global Funds Team, the High Conviction Equities Team and the Portfolio Management Team.

Teachers’ Venture Growth

TVG ) is the investment department within OTPP focused on late-stage venture and growth equity investments in disruptive businesses within the tech ecosystem.

TVG partners withpanies with bold missions and proven technologies who are looking for partners to help them grow into global category leaders.

In the last 3 years, TVG has invested over C$7 billion globally across some of the leadingpanies in the Cyber, Fintech, Digital Health and HR Tech sectors.

Infrastructure and Natural Resources

EMEA Infrastructure & Natural Resources Investments team. Ontario Teachers’ are a global investment leader with over C$50 billion infrastructure portfolio diversified by geography, development stage and industry.

Our infrastructure mandate focuses on investing to create sustainable long-term value in our portfoliopanies and enrich themunities they serve.

Based in London the successful candidate will work as a member of a small team, analysing potential investment opportunities and executing transactions.

They will also be involved with existing portfoliopanies and work with management teams to assist in shaping strategy and implementing value-enhancing initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, debt refinancing, budgeting and strategic projects.

The Analyst will contribute to a team culture where multiple investment groups will collaborate to effectively cover the market.

You will work with a highly specialized London-based private equity team and also work cooperatively with our global teams located in Toronto, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Private Credit

Private Credit is a dynamic and fast-growing team with an excellent track record in deploying capital in unique andplex credit opportunities targeting high-single digit to mid-double-digit returns and a path to triple its existing multi-billion AUM in the next few years

The Credit EMEA team’s broad mandate enables collaboration with professionals across OTPP’s investment teams in Equities, Infrastructure, Teachers Venture Growth, and Real Estate globally

What you’ll do

New Investment

  • Conduct research to support the development of investment strategies and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • You will play a key role in evaluating opportunistic credit investments across the capital structure, executing private negotiated credit transactions
  • Get the chance to define and differentiate yourself as an investor and build strategic relationships with investment banks, private equity sponsors, best-in-class fund managers and industry executives
  • Gain exposure to business models across different industries and be involved in thoughtful dialogue and discussions on potential investment opportunities
  • Review and analyse financial reports, budgets, board books and other information prepared by management of our portfoliopanies.

Portfolio Management

  • Add value to our portfoliopanies by using your understanding of business models across industries to support strategic decision making.
  • Assist in the building and maintaining of sophisticated financial models that will be utilized for analysing investment returns, valuation, transaction structuring, and financing
  • Coordinate third-party due diligence advisors and assist in the execution of transactions, incorporating the findings into a financial model;
  • You will play a key role in the Credit EMEA team’s efforts to significantly grow the portfolio, with the focus on private credit

Soft skills :

  • Excel at preparation of investment rmendations, internal, and presentations that will go to investmentmittees
  • Work collaboratively with the teams you join to implement their strategies and support Teachers
  • Support Ontario Teachers’ office-wide initiatives
  • Verify information that is essential to our investing activities, maintaining an eye for detail but able to see the big picture

What you’ll need :

  • A relevant undergraduate degree with excellent academic performance
  • Ideally some previous meaningful work experience in an internship capacity, either in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, consulting or transaction services
  • Special emphasis on accounting, valuation and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and a solid understanding of fundamental investment analysis
  • Self-motivated individual with the dedication to perform in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal,munication and collaboration skills
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in other languages in addition to English is considered an asset
  • Willingness to travel when necessary
  • Interest in financial markets
  • You must have graduated from your programme in 2023, or be graduating in 2024
