Job Summary
As a collaborative team member, the Educational Assistant assists the teacher in the delivery of daily programs and care of students with special needs.
The Educational Assistant assists in carrying out all Board-approved programs including (but not limited to) occupational therapy, physiotherapy, academic and behavioural programs.
Qualifications / Experience Community College Educational Support Diploma or related field of study or work experience A minimum of one (1) year demonstrated successful experience supporting individuals with special needs is preferred.
Proven ability to work as a team member; high degree of sensitivity and diplomacy; ability to adapt to changing situations;
ability to cope with stressful situations. Capacity to engage members of diverse communities and skilled in a variety of consultation techniques, protocols and strategies This position is covered by the C.
