Compensation: $60000.00 to $75000.00 yearly

Our client is looking for a Project Accountant to join their growing team. This would be a great opportunity for an individual who is a passionate and motivated professional who possesses strong analytical skills, loves to reconcile, and values teamwork. This role will require you to work on multiple short projects throughout the year and may involve travel from time to time. The ideal candidate would also be diligent, highly organized, as well as deadline-driven, and who can multi-task and identify priorities. This position is a hybrid role and will be based out of Vancouver BC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reconcile accounts, including accounts payable/receivables, expense, revenue, profit/loss, and accruals

• Prepare journal entries and perform general ledger review and analysis

• Analyse variances for budgets and forecast

• Assist with preparing monthly financial statements

• Assist with month ends, year ends and audits

• Ensure adherence to internal controls over the financial reporting process and support the continuous improvement of processes and procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in business, commerce, accounting, or related discipline; enrollment in the CPA program is an asset

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2+ years in a similar capacity

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize work in a changing and dynamic work environment

• Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written/verbal)

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, with eagerness to learn and grow

• Strong aptitude for financial systems, experience with an ERP software is an asset

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office/Microsoft Excel
