Job Description :
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tractor Operator to join our grounds maintenance team, focusing on ditch mowing along county roadways.
This role is essential in preventing overgrowth and maintaining clear and safe ditches and verges.
Responsibilities :
- Operate tractors and mowing equipment to maintain ditches and roadside verges.
- Monitor and maintain the condition of the equipment, performing basic repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and standards to ensure safe operation along roadways.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to coordinate efforts and ensure thorough coverage of assigned areas.
- Report any issues or hazards identified during operations to the supervisor immediately.
- Manage time effectively to complete tasks within assigned schedules.
Requirements :
- Proven experience operating tractors and other heavy machinery.
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and the ability to perform routine maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must possess a valid Class 1, 3 or 5 driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
