Applications Associate / Specialist / Engineer - End to End Solutions (CMP)

CMP (Charlottetown Metal Products) is a dynamic and growing stainless steel equipment manufacturer delivering design, fabrication, and installation services and turn‑key solutions to our food processing customers. You will work alongside and compliment our talented team of over 160 engineers, designers, technical sales, and fabricator / welders. You will have an opportunity to grow your knowledge of project management and machinery design and leverage that knowledge to build strength in hygienic design of food processing equipment. CMP is constantly innovating and contributing to more advanced hygienic designs to exceed client needs. We engineer food safety in everything we do.

Position Scope

FPS provides turnkey complete end‑to‑end processing lines for our customers around the world. The Applications Specialist, End to End Process Lines will work alongside industry experts to design complete food processing lines tailored to our customers’ requirements, assemble budget and prepare professional proposals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer requirements, client bid packages, scope information and drawings.
• Design / configure our proposed equipment, complete with FPS fabricated equipment and buyouts from other OEMs.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure our proposed process line is functional, cost‑effective, efficient and meets customer requirements.
• Create 2D or 3D technical equipment and layout sales drawings.
• Complete a cost study of the project.
• Prepare professional proposals and bid documents.
• Handoff won projects to our Project Management Office.
• Maintain and update design templates, tools and records.
• Assist in drafting analysis reports, including tables / charts or other sales support documentation as required.
