Laboratory Technician

Overview

APEX is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Aerospace Component Manufacturing Group . This is a full-time, permanent role reporting to the Special Processing Supervisor.

In this position, you will provide laboratory and quality assurance support for surface treatment processes and process testing. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing, analyze and interpret data, compile results, and prepare technical reports.
• Approve analysis results, authorize re-analysis, calculate process solution additions, and perform bath dumps and new bath make‑ups.
• Coordinate and manage periodic testing schedules, including lot acceptance testing.
• Support new process development, process improvements, and training initiatives.
• Assist in maintaining facility certifications and customer approvals.
• Monitor, maintain, and interpret key process performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct internal audits in accordance with the quality program.
• Support NADCAP accreditation and AS9100 certification through program and process maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Inspection, Planning, and Methods.
• Support quality initiatives as directed by the Quality Manager.
• Assist with evaluation and qualification of employees performing special processing and laboratory testing.
• Oversee calibration activities for measuring and monitoring equipment.
• Maintain laboratory supplies, equipment, and ensure a safe, secure, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
