Job Description
We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Public Sector client in Whitby, ON in support of their Audit team.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for extension. Please note this role requires a hybrid presence in the Whitby office.
Responsibilities :
- Provide general administrative support as required
- Support the audit team during all stages of an engagement with administrative responsibilities including conducting research, participating in meetings with clients, and editing, proofreading, and distributing reports
- Support the administrative process in support of the annual audit plan by researching audit topics, coordinating meetings, and preparing presentations
- Assist with administrative tracking of key performance measures, budgets, and invoices
- Preparing presentations, editing, and proofreading articles
- Maintain positive relationships with all departments to ensure effective communications
- Liaise with and maintain ongoing and effective communication with management
- Collaborate and liaise with other departments, municipalities, and external organizations
Experience :
- 2+ years related Administrative support experience.
- Advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Experience in the public sector and / or government considered an asset
