Overview
Reporting to the Director of Information Systems, the Implementation Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing technology, ERP, and integration projects across the organization. The role focuses on optimizing system adoption, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes, and driving successful project outcomes.
A key responsibility is managing systems and data integrations between our organization and our parent company, ensuring secure, accurate, and timely data flows. The role also supports the maintenance and execution of the Integration Playbook, which covers process alignment, gap analysis, and initiative tracking.
Experience with SAP S / 4 HANA implementation is a strong asset, and knowledge of SAP Business ByDesign is highly desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate both technical expertise and project management skills, bridging business requirements with technology solutions.
Responsibilities
ERP & System Implementation
- Lead or support ERP implementation projects from planning to post–go-live stabilization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate functional requirements.
- Configure and test ERP modules, integrations, and workflows to align with business processes.
- Plan, execute, and validate data migration activities in collaboration with business and IT teams.
- Conduct gap analyses on SAP S / 4 HANA and ByDesign to identify deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
Systems & Data Integrations
Define and document principles for shared, federated, or independent functions between the organization and the parent company.Maintain an inventory of business processes, identifying SAP integrations, process gaps, and optimization opportunities.Map major systems across both organizations, documenting overlaps, gaps, and skill / capability requirements.Identify and map key data domains and entities, noting overlaps or inconsistencies.Maintain a register of critical shared services affected by integration efforts.Conduct SAP-specific integration gap analyses to support project planning.Track integration initiatives in a centralized register, aligning them with strategic priorities and platforms.Coordinate and test data exchanges between systems to ensure security, accuracy, and compliance.Monitor integration performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.Project Coordination & Execution
Collaborate with the PMO team to develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports.Coordinate cross-functional teams including business users, IT staff, and external consultants.Monitor risks, issues, and dependencies, and propose proactive mitigation strategies.Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.Process Optimization & Change Management
Analyze and document current-state processes; design future-state workflows that leverage ERP and integration capabilities.Support change management initiatives, including training, user adoption strategies, and documentation.Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations.Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).3–5 years of ERP implementation experience, preferably in SAP S / 4 HANA.Working knowledge of SAP Business ByDesign strongly preferred.Experience with ERP migration, data conversion, and system / data integration projects.Solid understanding of business processes in Sales, Accounting, Warehousing, Production, Procurement, Forecasting, Customer Service.Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies (Wrike preferred).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyBilingual (French and English).Qualifications
Experience with other SAP products (e.g., SAP Concur, SAP C4C).Familiarity with BI / reporting tools such as Power BI.Experience with Tier 1 HCM systems (Ceridian Dayforce, UKG)Understanding of data governance and security best practices.Vendor management experience in ERP or IT project delivery.Behaviours
