Building Caretaker
Rhome Property Management is seeking to hire an experienced live-in Building Caretaker or caretaking coupl e for a residential rental building in the Ellwood Park area of Abbotsford, BC .
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the common areas, leasing, building maintenance, suite repairs, move-in / move-out inspections, and administration.
Essential Job Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, elevator cleaning, and garbage removal
- Maintain tenant relations; engage rental inquiries
- Maintain written documentation and submit required paperwork by date requested
Requirements
- Minimum one year related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good knowledge of building maintenance and operations functions
- Knowledge of the Rental Tenancy Act
- Valid driver’s license
- Understand written work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Organizational skills
- Able to work without direct supervision
- Work weekends as required
- As an absolute condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to satisfactorily complete and pass a background check
Benefits
- Salary, based on experience and number of buildings being managed ($40,000 - $80,000 per annum)
