Ballina Contracting is seeking an experienced Pipelayer to assist our construction crew in the Fraser Valley .
Responsibilities :
As a Pipe Layer, you will be responsible for working with the site Foreman and machine operators installing various pipe works, site grading, excavations, grouting, and other laboring intensive tasks assigned by site foreman / Superintendent.
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with all Health and Safety requirements.
- Ensuring all work is completed within specifications
- Maintaining all tools & equipment in good working order
- Rigging pipe for hoisting
- Installing all types of pipe ie. Watermain, sani, storm, etc.
- Prepare and grade trenches (manual labour / working with equipment operators)
- Installing Manholes & Catch Basins
- Work without constant supervision
Qualifications :
- Consistent and proven safety performer that is interested in promoting a safety-first culture.
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors
- Acknowledge this position can be labour intensive
- Fit for work and willing to work in all types of environments
