Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Rail Engineer to join our Saskatchewan team in our Saskatoon office. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for building a client base and team from the ground up and plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of rail projects.

This position can be based anywhere in Western Canada but will be supporting Saskatoon.

A Day in the Life

  • Be an integral member of our rail and civil design group
  • Build analytic and design skills
  • Conduct engineering design preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for railroad track and civil projects for private and public-sector clients
  • Collect and analyze data
  • Perform work with agreed upon budget and schedule
  • Proposal development and other marketing activities
  • Direct engineers-in-training, designers and technicians
  • Perform quality control reviews and design checks of railroad projects
  • Periodic travel for client visits, site visits, field assessments and construction inspections, as needed

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Must be registered (or eligible to register) as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Saskatchewan
  • 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Must have strong ability with data analytics
  • Experience using Microstation and InRoads, OpenRoads, OpenRail, or other BIM Software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, Geopak etc.)
  • Strong technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in the preparation of correspondence, reports and proposals
  • Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; able to mentor and work with junior engineers and designers
  • Good organization skills and strong attention to detail

A competitive salary of $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 based on skills and experience.
