Transfusion Medicine Clinical Informatics Lead

Duration : Month Contract with possibility of extension
Job Description :
Recent and relevant experience as Clinical Informaticist designing Transfusion Medicine workflows for Ambulatory Care as well as within Acute care spaces.
Ambulatory experience is MANDATORY.
- Relevant Cerner Transfusion Medicine experience in Design and implementation with a focus on end to end design (Clinical / Provider through to Lab and PathNet).
- Ability to engage with clinical staff and providers in a professional matter to elicit information and requirements to support :
- workflow mapping
- functional design (quick orders pages, Day of Treatment Order sets, powerforms, orders to scheduling,CPOE Orders,etc.)
- Awareness of Transfusion Medicine workflows as well as having a basis in Transfusion Medicine and
- Transfusion Medicine related guidelines and standards ( Choosing Wisely, PCBO, CBS, FACT, etc).
- Awareness of all aspects of the Transfusion Medicine service ( patient assessment, ordering, dispensing, administration, reactions).
- Ability to work with and develop / complete DCWs as well as custom requirement gathering documentation in collaboration with relevant partners in informatics and build teams.
- Ability to create and execute functional, integrated and regression test scripts for workflows.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, organizing workload and priorities.
- Proficient use of excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with CST Project in Vancouver, BC is a preferred asset, but not required.
- Must work PST Time and be available full time hours.
