The Security team’s mission is to strengthen Okta’s position as the leading Identity-as-a- Service solutions through identifying and resolving risks to the employees, product, and most importantly, our customers.

As a Senior IAM Service Manager, you will be a key team member of Okta’s Identity and Access Management team supporting the building and execution of a world-class, comprehensive Enterprise Identity service to empower and harden Okta’s business.

You will oversee and advise complex, high impact identity security projects that utilize industry leading identity and security concepts, models, and practices.

Responsibilities

Partnering closely with IAM leadership peers, you will build and mature our enterprise identity and access management function to support Okta’s workforce.

You will contribute to the IAM roadmap to ensure we are building robust services that will help the business scale. You will oversee and advise critical IAM projects to ensure successful delivery, adherence to security and IAM standards, and consideration of long term operational needs, making Okta’s implementation of Enterprise IAM the most secure in the world.

  • Lead, mentor, and coach to the Enterprise IAM team
  • Develop service maturity milestones and plans to achieve sustained operational excellence
  • Guide business customers through IAM initiatives, acting as a conduit between the business and technical delivery teams
  • Develop business processes, dashboards, and documentation to ensure a robust and durable program
  • Negotiate detailed requirements and solution design trade-offs
  • Prioritize work based on business needs, team capacity, and understand implications of trade-offs
  • Contribute to cross-functional and cross-technical dependency management
  • Report metrics, statuses, and proposals to Senior Leadership
  • Identify opportunities for automation to reduce workload and scale common requests

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in technical, business, and / or IT roles with focus on Identity and Access Management
  • 2+ years’ experience in service delivery / management, program management, and / or IAM leadership
  • Proven track record of developing and executing on enterprise identity solutions
  • Knowledge of general industry IAM concepts and best practices, particularly relating to customer identity
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST / FedRamp, SOX, SOC, ISO, SOC2, PCI, ZeroTrust, SaaS Security Framework, Data Security Foundations, etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical audiences
  • Experience managing numerous, competing demands from stakeholders while maintaining excellent and on time delivery
  • Exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills in a complex, matrix environment and demonstrates the ability to broker agreements among diverse, differing, or completing priorities and perspectives
  • Confidence working within agile methodologies
  • Okta Workforce, Okta Customer, and / or CIDPro certifications strongly preferred

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.

In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between : $176,000 $264,000 CAD
