We are looking for a motivated Press Assistant / Feeder Operator who wants to contribute to production, build technical knowledge, and progress toward a press operator role.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the press supervisor, the Press Assistant / Feeder Operator supports the press crew in preparing and running production. This person prepares paper, keeps the press supplied with materials and consumables, and progressively learns how the press operates and how it is set up.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, check, and move the required paper according to production priorities.
- Perform quality checks on raw materials before use.
- Prepare the equipment, materials, and consumables needed for make-readies.
- Keep the press continuously supplied with paper and consumables.
- Assist press operators during make-readies and job changeovers.
- Take part in basic adjustments and setup tasks under supervision.
- Learn the principles of registration, color, and print quality control.
- Help resolve simple production issues and reduce material waste.
- Take part in cleaning, preventive maintenance, and keeping work areas clean and safe.
- Report any issue that could affect safety, quality, or productivity.
- Ensure effective communication at shift changeovers.
- Follow and promote health and safety procedures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma (DES) or relevant training.
- Experience in printing, graphic production, or a manufacturing environment (a strong asset).
- Strong interest in production equipment and in learning the press operator trade.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and handle materials safely.
- Good organization, autonomy, and rigor.
