Opportunity

The University of Victoria is one of Victoria's largest employers and one of Canada’s best diversity employers. Together we are more than 5,000 dedicated faculty, librarians and staff supporting the University of Victoria’s diverse academic programs, world-class research and commitment to civic engagement.

Launched in 2025 as the world’s first library-based institute of advanced studies, Kula: Library Futures Academy brings the ambition and convening power of academic libraries to the wider university and global communities. We explore how libraries, long charged with keeping knowledge, become a place for questioning the future of scholarship and the ethics of knowledge systems. Through fellowships, conversations, public events, publications, and international partnerships, Kula situates UVic Libraries as a participant in, and shaper of, global conversations about research and scholarly communication.

*This position is eligible for a campus flex arrangement*
