Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and support the deli team while fostering a positive, productive work environment. Train and mentor team members, supporting their ongoing growth.
• Department Operations: Oversee daily deli operations, ensuring food is prepared, packaged, and presented in accordance with company standards.
• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels of food and non-food items such as packaging and cleaning supplies, place orders, manage product rotation, and minimize waste.
• Merchandising: Ensure displays are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing throughout the department.
• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service and help create a welcoming shopping experience.
• Food Safety: Ensure department staff follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Financial Performance: Manage labour scheduling, department budgets, and margins while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a deli or similar food service role. Previous supervisory and/or management experience preferred.
• Financial Knowledge: Experience with scheduling, budgets, and margins.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a successful team.
• Organization: Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer Focus: Passionate about providing top-tier customer experiences.
