District Recruiter

Responsibilities

• Leads the full-cycle recruitment process for a range of construction professional and leadership roles, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and positioning PCL as an employer of choice.
• Partners with key stakeholders to shape hiring strategies for business‑critical roles, providing consultative, market‑informed recruitment guidance.
• Develops and executes proactive recruitment marketing and sourcing strategies to build strong, diverse talent pipelines aligned with future workforce needs.
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with operational leaders, offering insights on market trends, workforce risks, and recruitment best practices.
• Leverages recruitment data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and data‑informed hiring decisions.
• Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive hiring practices and building diverse talent pipelines.
• Supports international recruitment initiatives and cross‑border talent acquisition efforts.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive recruitment experience in a high‑volume corporate environment; construction recruitment experience is an asset.
• Ability to manage 20+ active requisitions across multiple projects and departments while maintaining excellent customer service to candidates and stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen; recruitment experience within construction or a similar industry preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships and act as a strategic, solution‑oriented advisor.
• Strong ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels through data‑driven insight, market knowledge, and professional judgment.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, and accuracy in record‑keeping.
