Director of Operations

This job might be for you if you :
- Are a strong leader who can listen well and guide staff through any challenge
- Have a proven ability to hold people accountable to process
- Are a master at managing action items for yourself and your team
- Are a critical thinker with the ability to brainstorm, create and execute
- Understand billables, financial statements, expenses, assets and profitability
- Have experience in Lean methodologies (CME Lean Yellow or Green Belt an asset)
- Have strong computer skills, notably savvy in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Have experience with service or welding shops or light manufacturing

- Engage, develop and direct your team through regular 1on1s and goal-setting meetings
- Ensure operations run smoothly and consistently
- Lead the development and growth of operational processes, structures and systems
- Identify challenges and collaborate to tackle them hands on
- Ensure we are always on top of regulations and audits
- Ensure our service teams provide an outstanding customer experience and high-quality on-time work
- Ensure our facility and equipment are in good condition and well-maintained
- Ensure a safety culture, safe working conditions and the growth of and adherence to safe practices

DyTerra is a solutions partner to fertilizer and propane industries in Western Canada. We specialize in whole goods and parts sales, service work including inspections, repairs and remounts, light manufacturing, and design-build fertilizer construction projects.
With about 30 staff across 2 branches, we are a small team with a casual tone. This position is based out of our head office at 7355 Wilkes Avenue Headingley, MB just at the intersection of Wilkes and the Perimeter.
