We're looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team, where you'll contribute to a fast-paced, supportive atmosphere that values excellence and employee well-being.
What You'll Be Doing : - Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees using Workday, ensuring accurate and complete payroll cycles.
- Manage payroll data and handle requests related to new hires, terminations, employee changes, and leaves.- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing prompt and accurate responses.
- Prepare and submit remittances for source deductions, garnishments, group insurance, and pension plans.- Process Records of Employment (terminations, leaves) through Service Canada.
- Manage payroll for overseas employees and process payroll-related invoices (Canadian and international).- Handle payroll accounting tasks such as journal entries and international retiree transfers.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, contribute to process improvements, and support payroll audits.- Oversee the year-end payroll process, including tax statement preparation.
- What You Bring to the table : - At least 5+ years of experience in Canadian payroll processing and accounting.- College diploma in accounting;
National Payroll Institute (NPI) certification is an asset.- Proficiency in Workday or similar payroll software.- Strong knowledge of Canadian labor laws, payroll legislation, and accounting principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.- Knowledge of MS Excel.
