Junior BIM Technician

WHATS THE JOB

Our team is growing and were looking for a Junior BIM Technician to join our passionate talented team to participate in an exciting mix of local and not-so-local role is based in Vancouver BC.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

• Develop structural design drawings and 3D models according to Aspects project quality standards
• Execute BIM projects of all sizes
• Prepare design submissions and other technical documents
• Be proficient with Revit model and drawing production
• Be proficient in family and parameter management and development
• Perform detailed drafting under the mentorship of the senior team members
• Contribute to the teams technical knowledge resources
• Collaborate with team members across other offices in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Contribute to a fun and welcoming work environment.

WHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• 0 to 3 years of experience in a similar position with a background in commercial residential and/or institutional projects.
• Technical degree/diploma/certificate from a related program
• Strong skills in reading interpreting and producing structural engineering plans and details
• Strong Revit skills including family modification model and parameter management
• A keen eye for aesthetics and an appreciation for clear and well-coordinated drawings
• Ability to self-motivate and work independently seeking support as necessary
• Great communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

EXTRA AWESOME:

• Experience with architecturally expressive structures in a wide variety of building materials
• Background in CAD/CAM fabrication software
• Experience with Dynamo Rhino Grasshopper or other parametric modelling experience
• Experience with BIM360

This position is office-based and subject to a Hybrid Work Policy (up to 2 days of remote work per week).
