Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Senior Director, Creative – EA SPORTS FC

EA SPORTS FC is building the future of football fandom. On this role, you will lead the development of world‑class creative platforms, campaigns, content, and brand experiences that connect millions of football fans around the world to the game they love.

About the Role

Reporting into senior Creative Studio leadership, you will define and drive the global creative vision for EA SPORTS FC across global marketing initiatives, product launches, live service moments, partnerships, athlete and creator programs, social content, and cultural activations. You will lead a global team of creative talent while influencing a broad network of cross‑functional partners, agencies, and stakeholders to deliver ambitious, culturally relevant work that breaks through in an increasingly competitive entertainment landscape. This role requires a unique combination of creative excellence, strategic thinking, football culture expertise, leadership, and operational rigor. You understand how modern audiences consume content, how culture moves, and how to create ideas, campaigns, and platforms that resonate globally while feeling authentic locally.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and champion the global creative vision for EA SPORTS FC, ensuring a consistent and distinctive brand experience across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a global team of creative leaders, producers, creatives, strategists, and content makers across multiple regions and disciplines.
  • Develop breakthrough creative platforms and campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and cultural relevance at a global scale.
  • Help to push the game forward with industry‑leading ideas and marketing integrations that break through with fans, press and football culture.
  • Partner with marketing, game development, publishing, product, communications, partnerships, esports, and regional teams to bring integrated creative ideas to life.
  • Elevate the ambition and quality of creative output across both direct and indirect reporting lines, creating an environment where exceptional work can thrive.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across the organization, aligning teams around a clear creative vision and driving consensus on major initiatives.
  • Oversee creative development from strategic briefing through execution, ensuring excellence across advertising, social, experiential, digital, video, partnerships, and emerging platforms.
  • Build effective relationships with external agencies, production partners, creators, athletes, leagues, clubs, and cultural collaborators.
  • Champion fan‑first storytelling rooted in football culture, ensuring work authentically reflects the passion, diversity, and global reach of the sport.
  • Drive innovation across content formats and channels, identifying new opportunities to engage audiences wherever they spend their time.
  • Establish creative standards, processes, and ways of working that enable scale while maintaining world‑class quality.
  • Use audience insights, performance data, and cultural intelligence to inform creative decisions and continuously improve effectiveness.
  • Define how FC can ladder up to and support both the EA SPORTS and Electronic Arts brand positionings and campaigns as the most‑played game in the company’s portfolio.

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of experience leading creative, brand, marketing, or content organizations, with significant experience in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of leading global creative teams and managing multidisciplinary talent across multiple regions and markets.
  • Demonstrated success developing creative platforms, campaigns, and content that achieved significant visibility, cultural impact, and business results.
  • Deep experience influencing and leading large‑scale global campaigns involving multiple stakeholders, partners, and channels.
  • Strong understanding of football culture, fandom, and the evolving dynamics of how fans engage with the sport and its many touchpoints worldwide.
  • Deep fluency across modern content ecosystems, including social platforms, creator partnerships, digital media, experiential, broadcast, streaming, and emerging channels.
  • Exceptional creative judgment and storytelling instincts, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates breakthrough thinking and executional excellence.
  • Experience leading through influence, inspiring both direct reports and cross‑functional teams to raise the ambition and effectiveness of their work.
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with the ability to connect creative decisions to business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing executive leadership and external partners.
  • Passion for building inclusive, high‑performing teams and fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

You’ll Thrive Here If You

  • Obsess over culture and understand how to create work that earns attention rather than interrupts.
  • Have a genuine passion for football and a nuanced understanding of the communities, players, creators, and stories that shape the game.
  • Know how to balance long‑term brand building with the demands of real‑time content and live service marketing.
  • Raise the standard of every room you’re in and inspire teams to deliver work that exceeds expectations.
  • Believe that great creative leadership is as much about developing people as it is about developing ideas.
  • Are energized by building globally relevant work that millions of fans experience and talk about.
