What Youll Be Doing
As a member of RESL Secured Recovery you will utilize third-party expertise to liquidate CIBCs non-performing residential mortgage portfolio. The team manages the national foreclosure and power of sale process for all defaulted residential mortgages referred by CIBCs Client Account Management collection team. As a Relationship Officer Secured Recovery youll be responsible for mitigating CIBCs losses when Residential Mortgages default. Youll be managing the end-to-end relationship with external business partners including Recovery suppliers lawyers paralegals law clerks and property managers to ensure achievement of Secured Recovery Operations business this role youll also have the authority to recommend write offs to be a witness in court to present facts data and information in an accurate way and trusted to represent and protect CIBCs interests and to sign affidavits where specifically allowed by CIBC Legal Division.

How Youll Succeed
- Relationship Building Collaborate with internal and external business partners to effectively manage the assigned client portfolio. Set clear performance expectations monitor progress and provide business partners with feedback and direction to optimize business results and promote efficiency and timely account resolution.
- Risk Management - Safeguard Client Account Management from potential reputational/legal risks and ensure that CIBC standards are upheld through third party relationships. An extensive and effective analysis interpretation and comprehension of various reports and financial data to influence Business Partners performance will enable you to achieve your performance objectives.
- Administration - Provide an accurate synopsis to the management team to assist in the identification of root causes and recommend changes to processes to avoid reoccurrence. Develop presentations that appeal to broad audiences from senior levels to general employee levels both internally and externally.
Who You are
You have a degree/diploma in Post secondary education university or community college or equivalent business related experience.
You can demonstrate good working knowledge of Collection processes and procedures as well as legislative/regulatory requirements as related to recovery portfolios Its an asset if you have good working knowledge of Bank Host systems
