Job Description
SAP ABAP RAP Developer – ABAP on HANA, RAP, CDS Views & OData

Location: 100% Remote

Position Summary

• Experienced SAP ABAP RAP Developer with expertise in ABAP on HANA, RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model), CDS Views, OData Services, and AMDP
• Design and develop SAP S/4HANA applications aligned with Clean Core principles and an API-first architecture
• Support modern SAP development practices and integrations

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop SAP S/4HANA applications using ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, and RAP
• Build applications using the SAP RAP framework, including:
• Business Objects (BOs)
• Behavior Definitions
• Service Definitions and Bindings
• Create, enhance, and optimize:
• Basic CDS Views
• Composite CDS Views
• Consumption CDS Views
• Develop and expose data through OData Services (V2/V4) to support SAP Fiori applications
• Perform ABAP on HANA development using:
• CDS Views
• AMDP
• Open SQL
• Support system integrations using:
• APIs
• IDocs
• BAPIs
• Follow SAP best practices for performance optimization, scalability, and Clean Core architecture
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP RAP and CDS Views (Mandatory)
• Expertise in ABAP on HANA
• Experience with OData Services (V2/V4)
• Strong knowledge of AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures)
• Understanding of SAP S/4HANA data models
• Knowledge of SAP Clean Core architecture
• Experience with SAP integration technologies including APIs, IDocs, and BAPIs

Preferred Skills

• SAP Fiori/UI5 development experience
• API-first application development approach
• Performance tuning and optimization in SAP HANA environments

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
• 2+ years of SAP S/4HANA experience
• Proven hands-on project experience with RAP and CDS development
• Overall 6–8 years of relevant SAP technical experience
