As a Divisional Controller, you are responsible for the financial management of a division through the administration of accounting systems, preparation of reports, and maintenance of accounting records.
You must be proactive and provide the main support to the Vice President and another executive team. Your main challenge will be to ensure the accuracy and implementation of processes and streamlining automated reports.
Reporting directly to the VP of finance, your responsibilities, among others, will be to : - Provide support to the president in the accomplishment of all his responsibilities- Recommend and participate in the implementation of improvement measures where necessary (this includes being a key participant in computer system troubleshooting, improvements and conversions)- Review the monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules to be submitted to the corporate accounting team- Control accuracy of inventory volume and costing- Prepare payables, receivables and reporting- Provide meaningful analysis of both direct and indirect production costs to management- Provide analysis of regular operating costs on a monthly basis- Provide a variety of ad hoc financial reports, as requested- Do government filings, as required- Handle year-end auditQualification Criteria : - Have an accounting designation such as a CA or CMA and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role;
