Job Title: Reporting Analyst (Power BI)
Overview
This role supports regulatory modernization by working with regulatory data specialists, business analysts, and BI advisors to design and deliver data-driven reporting solutions. The focus is on building dashboards, improving data quality, and generating insights to support regulatory evaluation and decision-making.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data analysis, Power BI development, and Azure-based data platforms, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop interactive dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI, Power Automate, and Azure data tools
Build and maintain data models and reporting solutions across multiple data sources
Perform data validation, testing, QA/QC, and ensure data integrity
Apply analytics (including Python where needed) to identify trends, anomalies, and insights
Integrate and consolidate data from multiple systems into usable datasets
Collaborate with business analysts, SMEs, and leadership to define reporting requirements
Support adoption through end-user training, documentation, and SOP development
Provide technical recommendations and support continuous improvement of BI solutions
Previous experience in public sector is preferred.
Must-Have Experience
5+ years designing and developing Power BI dashboards and BI solutions
5+ years in data analysis, visualization, and reporting platforms
5+ years working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
5+ years using data analytics tools and methodologies to generate insights
5+ years gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions
Nice-to-Have
Experience delivering actionable business insights and analytics strategies
Experience developing business requirements documentation
Experience building analytical/quantitative models
Strong business writing and documentation skills
Experience evaluating emerging analytics and BI trends
Work Arrangement
Hybrid (Remote within Canada + occasional onsite in Alberta, Edmonton Oxbridge Place)
Standard hours: 8:15 AM 4:30 PM (Mon Fri, Alberta time)
