Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA)-Regina is seeking a team-oriented and professional Orthopedic Surgeon with subspecialty training and interest in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery and Foot and Ankle Surgery to join us on a full-time fee-for-service basis. The Regina Orthopedic Surgery Department includes 15 specialists with diverse sub-specialty interests. It is the goal of the Division of Orthopedics to provide full access to all subspecialty interests in Orthopedics with the exception of complex pediatric and orthopedic oncology.

Orthopedic services are shared between two sites: the Regina General Hospital, our trauma center representing all major surgical specialties, except transplant, and the Pasqua Hospital, a community-based hospital and referral center specializing in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Urology and Pediatric Oncology.

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the on-call duties of the Division.

The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training. The Department of Surgery has distributed training sites in Saskatoon and Regina ().

Job Qualifications

  • Applicants must have completed a specialty residency-training program in Orthopedic Surgery, accredited by the Successful applicants will have completed fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery and/or Foot and Ankle Fellowship Training. Applicants should be eligible for regular licensure to practice in Saskatchewan as determined by the

The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA.
